Over the years, ASQ Central North Carolina Section 1109 has provided scholarships to dozens of deserving students.

• Each year we award one DuWayne Carlson Educational Scholarship providing $1,000 to the deserving child of an active section member.
• We also provide annually student scholarships of $1,000 to each of three local colleges: Forsyth Technical Community College, Guilford Technical Community College, and North Carolina A&T University.

Funding for these awards is possible only through active community participation in and sponsorship of our annual Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament. Held since 1984, the Scholarship Golf Tournament is our largest fund-raiser and its proceeds are used exclusively to fund Section 1109 scholarships.
