Shafer
Recently, a number of commentators on
Six Sigma have highlighted the lack of
attention simulation traditionally receives as
a serious deficiency in the Six Sigma Body of
Knowledge. Thus, the goal for this presentation
is to illustrate how Crystal Ball, an add-in to
Excel created by Decisioneering Inc., can be
used to facilitate the development of
simulation models and their analysis. The
presentation will begin with a brief overview
of Crystal Ball providing the basic background
needed to use the program. Then, based on this
background, examples illustrating the
application of simulation analysis in a variety
of Six Sigma contexts will be
presented.

Crystal
Ball tutorial examples are included in
presentation by Dr. Shafer.
