The November Section Meeting will be a Joint Meeting with APICS on Monday, November 13 at the Airport Marriott hotel, Greensboro.

Join us for a discussion on the Lean production system with Steve Swaim and Ken Hoover of the Industrial Extension Service at North Carolina State University.

This presentation will provide an overview of the Lean Production System. The principal goal of the lean production system is to satisfy the customer by producing products and services of the highest quality, lowest cost and shortest lead times. This goal is achieved by the supporting structure which includes stability in the manufacturing process, just-in-time (JIT) production, and quality at the source. Employee involvement is the lifeblood of the lean production system.
