Program Details:
'Being Right, Being Credible'
by Mark Crossley
Mark's presentation will focus on the fact that most, if not all, of our decisions in quality are based upon sample data. We publish these findings as if we really know their values, without regard to an admission of the doubt in our results. This presentation will focus on the magnitude of such error and what we can do to reduce this error.

Mark will also conduct the tutorial, including a demonstration experiment. Classical Design of Experiments ("DOE") relies upon an understanding and application of analysis of Variance ("ANOVA"), a formidable subject itself. Simplex EVOP provides a relatively simple approach to process improvement by making small incremental adjustments to a process to achieve an optimal level of performance. A real time "live" demonstration will be provided to explain the concepts. Make sure to bring your calculator.

About the Presenter: Mark Crossley is a world-class speaker who has taught courses on quality and statistics to a broad range of companies all over the world. He has a BS Chemistry/Mathematics and MS Quality Assurance, is certified by ASQ as CQE, CRE, CQA, CQM, & CSSBB. Mark is an AAGG, as well as author of "The Desk Reference of Statistical Quality Methods". He is President of QMA, Inc., providing international consulting and training in statistical methods for quality improvement.

The meeting will include a door prize drawing for a signed copy of Mark's book (no cost).
