The ability to learn (and to teach) may be the most significant success capability in our world today.  It has been very significant historically.  ASQ is focusing on Education in our schools, our businesses, our health system, and it is also a critical success factor in our homes, our churches, and our political system.

This POL presentation will entertain you with a highly interactive demonstration of the fundamental principles of learning.  While all of us have experience learning and teaching, we may not have focused on the underlying principles.  When we know the principles, we have an expanded capability to solve difficult problems.  By example, a pilots training includes a basic understanding of how an airplane functions.  Pilots are not just taught how to fly the airplane when all functions are working correctly.  Professional pilots also need to know the underlying functions so that if something stops working, a knowledgeable pilot has a much better chance of bringing the passengers and himself, or herself, safely home.
